Shahbaz for relying on indigenous resources

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that there was a need for checking corruption, nepotism and plunder of national resources, which were hindering the process of development and prosperity. He also advocated for shunning foreign charity to achieve economic and political independence in the real sense.
He was addressing a function in connection with the foundation- stone laying ceremony of the new building of King Edward Medical University (KEMU) here on Monday. Member National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Member Provincial Assembly Dr Saeed Elahi, Secretary Health, Medical Superintendent Mayo Hospital, former vice chancellors and principals, teachers, students and a large number of people associated with health sector were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said corruption, nepotism and loot of national resources have pushed the country to the verge of disaster. He also said loans and foreign assistance worth billions of rupees received during the last 63 years have not been able to bring any change in the life of the common man and have been pocketed by corrupt mafia.
