The current month's KESC bill is shocking for me as well as many other consumers. They have charged me Rs 11,993 on account of arrears without any valid reason. I have been paying all my bills regularly. We, the citizens of Karachi are already facing loadshedding at an average of about five hours a day.
So receiving bills charging Rs 12,000 or Rs 13,000 for arrears alone seems to be nothing but oonly worst kind of corruption There is a so-called Customer Care Service, which seems to do nothing to alleviate the people's suffering. I request the corporation concerned on behalf of my family and all the citizens of Karachi to stop charging us exorbitant amounts and take action against the VIPs and factories stealing power.
