Police foil bid to smuggle 10kg heroin worth over Rs 100 million

Two people were killed in different incident in the city here on Tuesday, while Capital Police foiled a bid to smuggle 10-kg heroin worth over Rs 100 million. As per detail, a man was killed in a clash in Muslim Colony Bari Imam, in the jurisdiction of Secretariat Police.
As many as 10 persons including Adil, Sharif Khan, Zahid Khan, Junaid, Mehmood, Siraj, Farman attacked Jamal Khan and his friend Waqar in Muslim Colony Bari Imam with knives, rods and sticks. Jamal Khan died on the spot and Waqar sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital, while the attackers managed to escape and are still at large. Secretariat Police registered a case.
An unknown person aged 50 to 51 years was killed when a car AJK-AL-109 hit him on Islamabad Expressway in the jurisdiction of Koral Police. The unknown person sustained injuries and was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Drive Muhammad Asif was arrested. Kohsar Police during a regular checking a car IDN-5800 was stopped at check point in Blue Area and on checking 10 kg heroin was recovered from the car and four persons on board namely Yasir Farooq, Yasir Khurshid, Afaq Qadir and Waqas Qadir were detained.In another incident, a motorcycle was stolen from the parking area of Taimur Chamber Blue Area in the jurisdiction of Kohsar Police.
Golra Police arrested Izzat Khan from Pind Paracha who was unlawfully refilling the cylinders of LPG. In yet another incident, unknown thieves barged into the house of Shahid Akhtar in I-10/1 in the jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi Police and stolen a motorcycle (Honda 125) bearing registration No NQ-659.
