Blind students of PU to get free, specialised treatment

All blind students of the Punjab University will get free specialised medical treatment at Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital. This announcement was made here on Sunday by Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad Ghurki, former MNA, Vice Chairman Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital at an annual prize distribution ceremony of boy hostel No 4 of the Punjab University.
He said that majority of the blinds students are equally shining and brilliant with other students in all faculties in pursuing higher studies. He said some of the highly educated blinds are holding world top positions in various international organisations, which speaks of their talent.
Chairman Standing Committee of Punjab Assembly on Education Mian Javed Ahmad, MPA said that Punjab Government has made elaborate arrangements for the provision of higher education to all special children across the province.
He said CM always attached great importance to the welfare of special children and all out efforts are being made on top priority for providing free quality education. Dr. Waqar, senior journalist, urged the students to focus their energies towards their studies besides extra curricular activities and contribute their share towards national development.
