Industrial estate to be set up in Rawalpindi: PIE chief

The Indust-rial Estate to be set up here in consultation with Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). Punjab Industrial Estate would extend all possible support and co-operation for setting up of the Estate. This was stated by Chairman Punjab Industrial Estate (PIE) S M Tanveer during his visit to Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
Talking to President RCCI Syed Ali Raza Saeed Shah he appreciating the decision for establishing an industrial estate. S M Tanveer said all possible assistance in this regard would be provided. Lauding the role of RCCI for development of economic and industrial activities, he said RCCI is playing an important role in this regard, which is an example for all other chambers of the country.
On this occasion, President RCCI Chamber Ali Raza Saeed Shah said the establishment of an Industrial Estate in the region is now inevitable. Now, Rawalpindi is considered an industrial city due to development of marble, furniture and poultry industries.
He called for immediate practical steps to establish an industrial estate here on the pattern of Sunder Industrial Estate so that a long-standing demand of trading community could be fulfilled within shortest possible time.
