Transfer 25 percent vehicles to investigation department: IG Sindh tells operation department

IG Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani has directed to the operation department to transfer its 25 per cent vehicles to the investigation department, Business Recorder learnt on Wednesday. According to sources, the decision was made on the recommendation of SSP south Niaz Khoso. They said the SSP Niaz in his recommendation has requested for resource mobilisation for investigation department.
The SSP Niaz in his letter suggested to the IG Sindh to increase the workforce, transportation facility and other resources for improving the performance of the department, which would help in lessening the workload of the staff. Keeping the said recommendations in view, the IG Sindh has issued directives to the operation departments across Sindh to transfer its 25 per cent vehicles to the investigation department.
When contacted, SSP Niaz confirmed that the IG Sindh has directed to the operation departments across Sindh to transfer its 25 per cent vehicles to the investigation department. He said the IG Sindh in a high level meeting has sought recommendations from all concerned departments to improve the performance of Police department. Therefore, the investigation department has given the said proposals, which has now been approved and the directives in this regard were issued on Wednesday.
He said the DIG South Ghulam Nabi Memon had made similar initiatives in 2010, which has now been extended by the incumbent IG Sindh. He said the investigation department has been communicated that the new recruiters would also be posted in this department to expedite the process of pending investigations.
