Sindh University vice chancellor returns after attending international moot

Vice Chancellor Sindh University Professor Nazir A.Mughal, who participated at the United Nation session on Thematic Debate on International Migration and Development, New York, has returned and resumed his office. Dr Mughal during his participation in UN session as leader of panel had also shared the policies of the government of Pakistan.
He said that UN conference was attended by 165 delegates from all over world. It was for the first time that Vice Chancellor of the public university was nominated by the Government of Pakistan to express his academic point of view and learn the process of International Law.
Dr Mughal further informed that Pakistan welcomed the debate of the UN General Assembly and related forum to facilitate dialogue between countries of origin and destination of different regions with a view to resolve the above issue in the larger interest of interested of all stakeholders. Pakistan being a manpower exporting country has more than 5.5 million emigrants across the globe attaches higher importance to this issue under discussion.
The Vice Chancellor also attended an international conference on Tearing down the Ivory lower: building the engaged Universities held at Madrid, Spain (June, 13-20, 2011). The Vice Chancellor informed that major aim of the conference was to explore how to deepen the impact of community engagement in the higher education sector.
