Car workshop owner, worker shot dead

An owner of an automobile shop and his labourer on Wednesday were shot dead while another labourer was injured near Al Asif Square within the limits of Sohrab Goth police station.
According to police, the incident took place at Al-Nafay mechanic shop situated at Maymar View near Al Asif Square where three unknown armed men targeted the shop owner Mehtab son of Rashid when he was busy in work along with his two workers namely Nasir son of Abdul Rasheed and Tariq.
Resultantly all the three of them received bullet wounds while the culprits managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime. Police shifted the injured to the nearest private hospital where Mehtab and Nasir succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Police suspected that Sher Zaman was behind in this incident, saying that the victim Mehtab had money dispute with Sher Zaman who is the brother of former SHO of Sohrab Goth Azam Mehsud. They said that it is premature to say that Sher Zaman was behind the incident but some evidence and the statements of eyewitnesses has cleared that Sher Zaman and his accomplices Najeeb Irani and others carried out this killing operation. No case was registered till the filing of the report.
In another incident, a beheaded body of youth was found at Sajjan Goth in the limits of Saeedabad police station. The identity of victim was yet to be ascertained. Police said the victim, who had several torture marks on his body and wore jeans and shirt, appeared to be Urdu speaking. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for post-mortem and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification.
