Coalition partners: government trying to resolve issues through talks, says Khuhro

The Acting Governor Sindh, Nisar Khuhro, has said that government is trying to resolve issues with its coalition parties in order to strengthening democratic process in the country.
Speaking at a dinner reception held by leader of the business community and Patron In-chief, Burns Centre, S M Muneer, President, Burns Centre, Abdullah Feroze and President, Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF) Mian Zahid Husain, Khuhro said that Dr Ishrat-ul Ibad should be back to his position as Governor Sindh.
"Democratic process should remain continued and petty differences should not affect the peaceful coalition", Khuhro said. He said that his government appreciates all such projects by the private sector and would do everything possible for the Burns Centre which is providing expensive treatment free of charge to the needy people. He also requested other businessmen to come forward and initiate similar projects like Burns Centre by following in the footsteps of S M Muneer and Abdullah Feroze.
S M Muneer while speaking on the occasion expressed his sheer concern over the gang wars going on in Karachi which has ruined already deteriorating law and order. He said that even police are unable to go inside those areas that have remained under siege by the Mafias. He begged the government to restore peace of the city by any mean and even if needed army should be called to restore the peace and eliminate the gangs. He lamented the payment of $9 million to a couple of rental power plants loaded on ships anchored at Port Qasim.
He disclosed that these RPPs are only producing a few mega watts electricity but being paid in full while the entire city of Karachi is having worst ever power crisis in the history. He called for full accountability of the public money. He also demanded that outgoing Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat should be called back and asked to serve the province once again. He paid tributes to the services of Dr Ishrat during his tenure as governor.
He declared Burns Centre as the model hospital for burns victims which was established in the private sector and requested the government to fix a significant monthly amount as grant for this hospital. He lauded the services of Feroze Abdullah and Sardar Yasin for their efforts to establish Burns Centre.
The President, PBIF, Mian Zahid Husain in his address called upon the acting Governor and his government to make efforts for political stability in the province especially in Karachi as this city is the backbone of country's economy. While paying tributes to the services of Dr Ishrat-ul Ibad Khan, he said that Khan should be called back due to his unforgettable efforts to maintain city's law and order.
Directors of Burns Centre, Abdullah Feroze and Sardar Yasin also spoke on the occasion. The Friends of Burns Centre have achieved a great task under the leadership of Feroze Abdullah and S M Muneer by establishing region's biggest and most modern hospital for the burns' victims.-PR
