Pakistan welcomed investment of Venezuelan investors in exploration of oil and gas and government would provide all-out support to Latin American entrepreneurs, said Raja Basharat, Advisor to Prime Minister on Industries here on Tuesday.
"Like Venezuela Pakistan is also bestowed with huge treasures of natural resources, which needs to be explored to benefit people," Raja said while addressing a reception hosted by David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo, the special envoy of Venezuelan President to mark the 200th anniversary of signing of Declaration of Independence of Venezuela. The reception was attended by diplomats, parliamentarians and people belonging to different walks of life.
Raja Basharat said that Pakistan was expecting to ink Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in different sectors particularly in exploration in oil and gas sector. He said that Pakistan will be an attraction for Venezuelan investors. He said that it was need of the hour to exchange the business and other delegations to provide people opportunity to learn from experiences of each other. Speaking on the occasion, David Nieves Velasquez Caraballo said that Venezuela has decided to establish a diplomatic office in Pakistan to strengthen the economic and political ties between the two countries.
After opening diplomatic office in Pakistan Venezuela would open Embassy in Pakistan to begin the diplomatic ties between the two countries, the special envoy and Ambassador of Venezuela said, adding that his country is oil rich and wants close economic ties with Pakistan so that two sides take benefit from each other potential.
