PWF grieved over Karachi killings

Pakistan Workers Federation has expressed grief and sorrow over the latest wave of ethnic killings in Karachi and said it was having devastating effects on the economy of the country. Pakistan Workers Federation held an emergent meeting here on Friday which was addressed by veteran labour leader and PWF Secretary General Khurshid Ahmad and Chaudhry Mohammad Talib Nawaz, president of the union.
They condemned the killing of innocent citizens in the economic hub of the country, Karachi and urged the Federal and Provincial governments to take immediate measures to expose the hidden hands that have disturbed peace and industrial activities in the city.
They further called upon the government to arrest the terrorists and give them exemplary punishment as terrorism has caused closure of industries and commercial centres in the biggest city of the country. They pointed out that people are feeling insecure and isolated. They also urged all the political parties to play their positive role in bring about peace, harmony and brotherhood among all ethnic groups and segments of the society.
