Consistency in maintaining highest quality can only guarantee keeping any product popular among the masses for 50 years, and National Flour Mills always opted for latest technology to maintain quality and confidence of the customers in its products.
This was stated by the Director, Punjab Flour and Supreme Flour and former Chairman of Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Khaleeque Arshad, while talking to a group of journalists who visited the Supreme Flour Mills, a unit of the National Flour Mills. He said the group always relied on latest technology and kept on updating the mills with latest machinery with the passage of time due to which Pakistani and multinational companies have rated these mills in 'A' category of the suppliers.
He claimed that the group had the honour that foreign visitors not only appreciated their mills but their plants' working was also filmed and shown to the students of agriculture in an American University. He said that their mills had constructed steel silos to keep wheat safe from birds and insects; set up a laboratory to analyse contents of moisture, glutton, protein and others, latest grinding and packing system and for accuracy in weight set up weighbridges.
Journalists were taken to the steel silos, machines working to separate foreign elements such as dust and others from wheat before its grinding, washing system and packing section of the units. Cleanliness in all these units was visible and contact with human hands was ensured to be least during the whole process of unloading wheat from trucks to the packing stage.
