Senior advisor vows to redress demands of MTAP

Senior Advisor Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that the Punjab government will solve problems of teaching cadre staff of Punjab Health Department with regard to regularisation and departmental promotion on priority basis. He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Medical Teachers' Association, Punjab (MTAP). General Secretary of the Association Dr Tahseen Riaz led the delegation, disclosed an official here on Saturday.
He also said the services of teaching cadre staff are commendable. Senior Advisor Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that the government is serious in resolving the problems of doctors and credit goes to the government of Shahbaz Sharif that it has presented a comprehensive package of Rs 5 billion for the officers and officials of all categories of health department. "The demands of Medical Teachers' Association, Punjab, are genuine and I will bring these demands to the notice of the Punjab Chief Minister so that the complaints of teaching cadre could be addressed," he added.
Giving briefings on the occasion, Dr Tahseen said Senior Registrars of teaching cadre, Assistant Professors and Associate Professors are facing departmental delay in their promotion and service regularisation. He also said despite approval of summary by the Punjab Chief Minister and clear orders of High Court, these matters are pending for many years due to which teaching staff of health department is perturbed. He demanded that the health department be directed to ensure early implementation of approved summary and High Court's orders.
