62 doctors take charge as house officers in LGH

After their appointment as house officers recently, 62 doctors have taken the charge of responsibilities at Lahore General Hospital(LGH). These house officers will perform their duties in different departments and specialties, initially for specific period under PMDC Module on rotation basis according to the recommendations of hospital committee consisting of three senior professors.
Professor Dr Tariq Sallauhaddin, Principal Postgraduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital, said that the objective of rotation policy was to keep the knowledge and experience of young doctors updated by giving them an opportunity to serve in various departments of LGH. He said that new recruitment's of house officers would definitely enhance the capacity of hospital staff enabling them to timely attend the patients. He said that newly appointed doctors would be paid stipend on monthly basis according to the Punjab government policy.
Dr Tariq Sallauhaddin expressed the hope that the faculty members would not only encourage and guide the fresh blood in discharging their duties but also keep them abreast of knowledge about diseases of modern age and new trends of medical science. He also advised the young doctors to add to the respect of their noble profession by serving the ailing humanity with dedication and hard work.
