Development projects: timely completion to accelerate economic activity, says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the government has taken a number of measures to deal with any eventuality before the onset of monsoon season. He directed the elected representatives to liaise with the district and provincial administration to make foolproof arrangements.
The prime minister expressed these views while talking to MNAs Tariq Mahmood Bajwa, Chaudhry Saeed Iqbal and Chaudhry Zahid Iqbal who called on him separately, here on Saturday. Gilani said that the government was focusing on the timely completion of development projects. It would generate employment opportunities and accelerate economic activity, he added.
The prime minister accepted the invitation of Tariq Mahmood Bajwa to inaugurate Chakjhumra Interchange and FEDMAK industrial State and the ground breaking of Chiniot-Okara road in the near future. The parliamentarians apprised the prime minister about the development projects in their areas and the preparations made for the monsoon season. They also discussed organisational matters of the party at districts levels.
