Jurisdiction of five Karachi districts determined

Sindh government on Tuesday determined the jurisdictions of five districts of Karachi, a notification said. According to the decision, District South will consist of Saddar, Lyari and Jamshed Town; District Central will include Liaquatabad, North Karachi, Gulberg and North Nazimabad; District Malir will comprise of Malir, Gadap and Ghazi Barohi Union Council.
Jaffer Tayyar; District East will consist of Shah Faisal, Landhi, Gulshan, Korangi and some parts of Malir while District West will consist of Baldia, SITE, Gadap and Orangi. The offices of all the five deputy commissioners will remain at the same locations where they existed in 2001 while the offices of district municipal corporations will be set up at the old places. Deputy Commissioners of Karachi: Shoukat Hussain Jokhio (East), Qazi Jan Muhammad (West), Jamal Mustafa Qazi (South), Matanat Ali Khan (Central) and Ghanor Khan Laghari (Malir).
