The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) will sign an agreement for mutual co-operation. Talking to Business Recorder before leaving for Delhi as the head of 10- member KCCI delegation, Vice-President KCCI Junaid Ismail Makda said that the delegation during its stay in India will participate in 47th India International Garment Fair in New Delhi and also visit Mumbai.
He said that the agreement for mutual co-operation will be signed as desired by the ministries of commerce of the two countries in the light of joint statement issued by commerce secretaries, consequent to 5th round of India- Pakistan talks on commercial and economic co-operation (27-28 April 2011) held in Islamabad.
He said that the delegation will also meet government officials, representatives of trade and industrial bodies, ministers and other high-ups; it will discuss issues of two-way trade and how to increase it. He said that he will point out factors impeding growth of two-way trade and suggest ways to boost two-way trade.
