Grains futures surged early on Wednesday as the possibility of more fiscal stimulus measures in the United States sparked a commodities rally. Chicago Board of Trade corn for December delivery gained 3.3 percent, or 21-3/4 cents, to $6.79-3/4 per bushel at 12:46 pm CDT (1746 GMT).
Chicago September wheat spiked 5.8 percent, or 39-1/2 cents, to $7.11-1/4 per bushel. New-crop November soyabeans added 1.7 percent, or 23-1/4 cents, to $13.81-1/2 per bushel.
