The Swiss franc dropped off its record high against the euro on Wednesday and also fell against the dollar as upbeat Chinese data offset the gloom surrounding the eurozone's debt problems. Mounting worries about the eurozone's ability to get a grip on its debt crisis have repeatedly driven the safe-haven franc to one record after another so far this year.
The franc fell 0.5 percent against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.1643 per franc by 0658 GMT. Against the dollar the franc fell 0.2 percent to trade at 0.8311 per franc.
