Shanghai copper down

The most-active September copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange fell 0.5 percent to 72,120 yuan per tonne on Thursday, after surging to a three-month high in the previous session. "Shanghai copper is going through a technical correction after a big rise yesterday compared to London. This overrides the positive influence of the dollar's weakness today," Great Wall Futures analyst Li Rong.
