IHC seeks report in missing person's case

Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sought report within two days from Superintendent Police (SP) Islamabad and standing counsel over the issue of missing person Imran Yousaf Zai. The Single Member Bench comprising Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi issued directive after conducting hearing of a petition filed by Kamran Yousaf Zai, brother of missing person.
Chaudhry Umar Hayyat Sindhu, counsel for missing person, apprised the bench that on July 12 at about 11:30am petitioner's brother Imran went out from his house for purchasing eatables on his vehicle Suzuki Margalla to G-9 Markaz but did not return.
The petitioner called him on his cell and his brother told that some people were chasing him near Karachi Company. He immediately went to Karachi Company and called him but his cell went off and since then he was untraced. He said that Petitioner immediately approached to the Station Police Officer (SHO) and requested him to register a criminal case and make efforts for recovery of his brother but the police official refused to proceed.
