Two buses attacked in Orangi; teenager killed

Tension gripped several parts of Orangi Town on Monday after a teenager was killed while two other sustained bullet wounds in a drive-by shooting on two buses in the locality. Following an armed attack on ANP worker Javed near Government College,
Orangi Town, armed assailants targeted two buses at Orangi Town, leaving a teenager killed and two others wounded. ANP worker Javed survived the armed attack. ANP spokesman Qadir Khan said the Javed is an active worker of ANP Ward UC-12, Bukhari Colony. 18-year-old Syed Naveed, son of Fareed received fatal bullet wounds when unidentified persons fired multiple gunshots at a private bus of textile mill near Banaras.
Police said the victim was the resident of Sector 12-L Orangi Town and was killed while returning home from work in a office vehicle. They said the deceased was hit by single bullet on his head and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
In a similar incident, two more persons namely Rafiq and Shahzad received bullet wounds when a passenger bus came under armed attack near Banaras Bridge. 32-year-old Abdul Waheed son of Abdul Hammed Khan was gunned down near Korangi River in the limits of Korangi Industrial Area police station.
The victim, who was the resident of Korangi No 4, was hit by stray bullet while returning home along with his wife on a bike. Resultantly he received fatal bullet wound on his head and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medico Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. No case was registered till filing of this report.
