Spokesperson of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Farhatullah Babar on Monday denied a media report that the party has nominated persons for the posts of President and Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
A news agency, quoting Faryal Talpur, MNA, has circulated a report naming some individuals as having been nominated as President and Prime Minister of AJK. The PPP Spokesperson said that Faryal Talpur has not made any statement in that regard and any attribution to her is untrue and mischievous.
He said that the AJK PPP and PPP's elected members to the Assembly had recently authorised Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari to take any appropriate decision in this regard. He said that no decision has yet been taken and whenever such a decision is taken it would be formally announced by the party.
