Summary sent to chief minister for Sindh Tax Ombudsman

21 Jul, 2011

The authorities of Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) have moved a summary to Sindh Chief Minister for approval of appointment of Sindh Tax Ombudsman. Sources told Business Recorder here on Wednesday that Chairman SRB Nazar Hussain Mahar has moved the said summary to Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah a few days ago.
The summary has sought the approval of appointment of Sindh Tax Ombudsman as Sindh's own tax collection body SRB has started its work from 1st July 2011, as per Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act 2011.
The summary would be approved by prior authorities very soon and the SRB will finalise the name of Sindh Tax ombudsman shortly, sources said. It is pertinent to mention here that the summary regarding the SRB's appellate tribunal has also been sent to CM Sindh for approval about a week ago.
