Two persons lost their lives, while police held 13 persons for their alleged involvement in different cases and recovered 700 bottles of local (Desi) liquor, four pistols, one motorcycle and fake currency from the detained accused.
According to the details, a labourer namely Farooq was working in an under construction house in Dhok Baflias village of Bhara Kahu, in outskirts of Federal Capital. On Tuesday night he was found dead in the under construction house as his mouth was filled with cloth.
Bhara Kahu Police after taking body into custody registered case No 211/11 under section 302 against unknown murderers and started investigation.
A fast driven Suzuki pick up bearing registration No ND-764 hit a motorcyclist namely Suhail Ghaffar in F-8/4. The injured motorcyclist was shifted to PIMS for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Suzuki driver managed to escape from the scene while Margalla Police registered case No 425 under sections 320/279 and 427.
Koral Police recovered 700 bottles of liquor in two different raids and arrested two persons. Responding to a tip-off Koral Police team raided a house in Alipur Nayi Abadi and arrested Nasir Mehmood after recovering 200 bottles of liquor from him. Three other accomplices of Nasir managed to escape.
During preliminary investigation detained Nasir Mehmood informed the police about the den where they were making stock of liquor and police recovered 500 bottles of liquor from there.
Tarnol Police in two separate actions recovered two pistols after arresting two persons in possession of the weapons. During routine patrolling police stopped Saeed Khan at Jhangi Syeddan and on search one pistol (30-bore) was recovered from him. Police also stopped Muhammad Saqib at Jhangi Syeddan and recovered one pistol and 15 bullets from him.
Margalla Police during the course of investigation recovered two pistols and one mobile phone from the detained thief.
Tarnol Police recovered 138 paper dollars and chemical from Syed Rasool when he was stopped by police in Jhangi Syeddan. Industrial Area Police recovered one motorcycle when a detained motorcycle lifter Naimatullah informed the police about the stolen motorcycle. Honda 125 motorcycle bearing registration No RIK 2998 was recovered, which was identified by the owner.
Kohsar Police arrested two persons including a lady from Blue Area who allegedly were busy in immoral activities. Amjid Nadeem was busy in immoral activities with Ume Farwa at Fazle Haq Road when they were caught.
