Corn and soybean futures fell early at the Chicago Board of Trade on Monday after crop-boosting rains fell on the US Midwest during the weekend, traders said. Wheat futures also dropped early, pressured by the improving weather as well as light demand for US supplies on the export market.
At 9:35 am CDT (1435 GMT), CBOT December corn was down 12-1/2 cents at $6.73. CBOT November soyabeans were down 20-1/4 cents at $13.68 and CBOT September wheat was down 12-1/2 cents at $6.79-3/4.
