Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Monday suspending transfer order of a director National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Irshadul Haq and sought reply from Director General Punjab bureau. The petitioner Irshadul Haq, through his counsel Asghar Ali Gill submitted that he was appointed in the bureau as a deputy director in 2000 and was promoted later in 2003 as additional director.
Counsel said the petitioner being additional director served in Quetta till 2008 and was posted later in Lahore after given another promotion to the rank of director. Counsel said NAB human resource director on July 13, 2011 issued transfer order of the petitioner and directed him to report Peshawar office.
Assailing the impugned order, the counsel pleaded that according to NAB appointment terms and regulations the authorities before completion of five years of current posting had to seek consent of the employee prior issuing transfer order. Counsel further said that the impugned order was based on mala fide intention. He therefore, prayed to the court to set aside the impugn order.
