HRW wheat bids steady

Hard red winter wheat basis bids held steady Monday, with combining continuing across South Dakota. Test weights in new-crop wheat yet to be harvested were hit by recent rains and quality was mixed with some vomitoxin noted. Dealers said spot cars were loading in areas of northern Kansas and Nebraska where harvest was winding down and in South Dakota, otherwise the market was quiet. Fall crops continued to suffer from drought and high heat.
