Pilot killed as Indian Air Force jet crashes

An Indian Air Force pilot was killed Tuesday when his fighter jet crashed in the north-western state of Rajasthan, officials said. The MiG-21 crashed at the Nal airbase in Bikaner district as it was returning from a training sortie, IAF spokesman Wing Commander TK Singha said. The pilot ejected but was injured, and died later at the air force hospital. An investigation had been ordered, Singha said.
