Journalist Yusuf Khan dies

Senior journalist Yusuf Khan died of heart attack here on Wednesday evening. He was 54. He leaves behind wife, two sons and one daughter. Khan was Deputy Resident Editor-cum-Chief Reporter of Nawa-e-Waqt, a newspaper he served since the late 1970s. Younger brother of the late journalist Irshad Ahmad Khan, he was endowed with a very strong wit.
Khan was equally impressive in his columns carried by the sister publication The Nation. For the past many years, he was a known face on various TV channels where he used to appear as a Karachi-based political analyst. Khan, who was a first class first position holder from Karachi University's Journalism Department, served Karachi Press Club as its secretary.
