Jamaat-e-Islami demands implementation of Parliament's resolutions

05 Aug, 2011

Secretary General, Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaquat Baloch has said even if Pakistan joins the Afghan reconciliation process it will not guarantee peace. Peace in this region can be restored if the US and Nato forces are pulled out from Afghanistan. Baloch said that Pakistan government's cowardly step of unconditional release of CIA operative and double murderer Raymond Davis was the primary cause of Pakistan's present weak position.
The US always gives priority to its national interest and no country is its friend. The US had deceived Pakistan time and again in the past and its attitude won't change in the future, he added.
The JI central leader demanded implementation of the Parliament's two resolutions adopted in the in-camera session and for reviewing the country's foreign and domestic policies as an independent, sovereign nation. He said that as long as the rulers followed Pervez Musharaf's policies, the problems of the country would increase.
