Gold prices on Thursday slid by Rs 100 from historic high of Rs 53, 500 per tola after the yellow metal prices in international market went down by $8 an ounce, traders said. Gold prices a day earlier had recorded a phenomenal rise of Rs 1, 029, hitting a fresh high of Rs 45, 857 per 10 grams also reduced to 45, 771.
On the international market, gold was quoted $1661 an ounce down from historic high of $1668, traders said. Silver prices were quoted unchanged at Rs 1275 per tola and Rs 1092.85 per 10 grams, according to traders.
