Capital police dispose of 3,571 cases in seven months

Capital police have completed investigation of 3,571 pending cases in the last seven months and submitted challans in relevant courts, said spokesman of Islamabad Police, here on Thursday. IGP Islamabad, Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad, Tahir Alam Khan are personally monitoring the progress on pending cases on daily basis, the spokesman said.
Out of total 3,571 cases disposed of by Islamabad Police, city zone submitted 957 challans, Saddar zone submitted 1,172, rural zone submitted 841 and industrial area zone submitted 601 cases in relevant courts during this period, he said. He added that 154 cases were resubmitted into the courts after removing objections on them.
Bani Amin Khan had categorically directed those working at police stations to complete investigation on all pending cases at the earliest and submit a detailed report to him after submitting the challans into the concerned courts. Following the directives, performance of all circles of Islamabad police as well police stations regarding investigation process on pending cases is being reviewed on daily basis. Investigation on cases of heinous nature has been also expedited so that the criminals must be awarded punishments according to law of the land.
