Gold prices on Friday touched a new high of Rs 53, 650 per tola on the local market after the global market's increase of $4 an ounce, traders said. Gold was available for Rs 53, 400 per tola a day before, which now has gone up to a new high of Rs 53, 650 with a rise of Rs 250. The price of gold per 10 grams also mounted to a record high of Rs 45, 985 up from Rs 45, 771, traders added. On the international market, gold was quoted $1665 an ounce up from $1661.
