The Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Asif Ali Memon in his statement said that as many as 39,276 subsidised Atta bags each of 10 kg have been distributed through 116 stalls located at different places of Hyderabad District on 4th August 2011 and added that the number of stalls is being increased to facilitate the poor people.
According to details, 10,780 bags were distributed at 39 stalls of Taluka Hyderabad City, 8,750 bags at 20 stalls of Taluka Latifabad, 3,655 bags at 16 stalls of Taluka Qasimabad, 4,500 bags at 11 stalls of Taluka Hyderabad (Rural), 5,500 bags at Taluka Tando Allahyar, 300 bags at 4 stalls of Taluka Jhando Mari, 650 bags at 4 stalls of Taluka Chamber, 1,000 bags at 5 stalls of Taluka Tando Mohammad Khan, 1,250 bags at 4 stalls of Taluka Bulkri Shah Karim, 1,250 bags at 3 stalls of Tando Ghulam Haider, 256 bags at 4 stalls of Taluka Matiari, 1,200 bags at 4 stalls of Taluka Hala, while 185 bags of subsidised Atta bags were distributed at 2 stalls of Taluka Saeedabad. He said that the sufficient supply of additional quantity of subsidised Atta bags has been made available on these stalls to maintain the chain of supply till Ramazan-ul-Mubrak.
