Wheat prices turn higher on grain market

Wheat prices were sharply higher on the wholesale grain market on Saturday due to rising demand by retailers, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old and new bardan rose by Rs 40 to Rs 2600-2615 on higher demand, other items did not show any change in process of trading, they said. On the rice side Irri-6 Sindh low type was down by Rs 25 to Rs 3525 and good type was unchanged at Rs 3800, they said.
On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type picked up Rs 25 to Rs 1100 and better type gained Rs 30 to Rs 1150, they said. Prices on the grams sector did not show any change during the session, they said.
