Tropical Storm Muifa left four people dead and two missing as it battered South Korea's west coast with strong winds and rain, officials and media reports said Monday. Winds toppled hundreds of power lines, signposts and trees as the storm moved northward fast early Monday, the National Emergency Management Agency said.
Power was cut to 320,000 houses in south-western provinces, while roads, port installations and breakwaters were destroyed in dozens of places, it said. Thousands of boats were staying in port along the west coast.
