60 held in LEA operation in Quetta

Law enforcement agencies arrested as many as 60 suspected people in the provincial capital on Monday after the killing of three police personnel including a senior police official. "Law enforcement agencies including Frontier Corps, police and Balochistan constabulary launched crackdown in various sensitive areas and held 60 suspects", police sources confirmed to APP.
They added that LEA operation was launched after the unknown assailants attacked and shot dead Station House Officer PS New Sariab Manzoor Tareen, his driver and security guard when they riding in official vehicle were on routine patrolling. The investigation teams headed by senior officials have been interrogating the suspects. It is recalled here that after the Mastung blast and Spini road firing incidents, police had taken about 250 suspected persons into custody. Further investigation was underway.
