Sindh chief minister reviews law, order situation

Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Friday held a meeting at CM House to review the law and order situation in the province, particularly Karachi. He said that it is the responsibility of law enforcing agencies to be fully devoted to maintain peace in disturbed areas. Proper vigilance, monitoring and prompt action should be initiated against criminals and terrorists, a statement said.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah also directed the police officials to enhance patrolling in various disturbed localities, while police force be deployed till late night at commercial centres, trade and business markets and Eid Bazaars throughout Sindh province to provide proper security to people, particularly ladies and children. The CM further directed the police department to accelerate process of inducting the personnel in police force to maintain comprehensive peace in the province.
Qaim said that induction and appointment in police should be totally on merit with transparent process. He also directed to post a senior police officer as DPO in Tando Muhammad Khan. He informed that police force is being provided latest and sophisticated arms and ammunition together with vehicles.
