Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi, on behalf of the President of Pakistan, here on Sunday conferred national awards on 17 personalities of Police Department of the province on Independence Day at an investiture ceremony held at Governor House.
Ten police personnel were honoured with posthumous awards of Qaid-i-Azam Police Medal who became victims of violence while performing their duties. The relatives of late police personnel received the awards.
Similarly, 7 police personnel bagged presidential Police Medal for their bravery. The ceremony was attended by provincial ministers, senior government officials, and relatives and well-wishers of the recipients of the awards.
