Independence Day celebrated across Sindh

People of Sindh celebrated country's 65th Independence Day on Sunday with traditional zeal and enthusiasm in Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Ghorki, Noushehroferoze and other districts.
The Independence Day celebrations began with offering of special prayers in mosques for progress and prosperity of motherland. The main ceremony was held here at Municipal stadium. The national flag was hoisted by the PPP Senator Islamuddin Shaikh.
Special prayers and Quraan Khawanis were held for the integrity and solidarity of the country. Debates in schools and seminars on national issues were organised by different organisations to sensitise young generation to the objectives of Pakistan Movement and to create unity, brotherhood and patriotism among them. Educational institutes arranged events such as debate contests and national song competitions to celebrate the day.
