All three Armed Forces joined the nation in celebrations of the 65th Independence Day of Pakistan and organised various events to celebrate the day. The day started in the morning with special prayers in all Garrisons and unit mosques for stability, prosperity and progress of the motherland, said a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) here on Sunday.
A 21-gun salute was also presented by the Armed Forces at dawn to mark the occasion. Besides flag hoisting, ceremonies were organised in all garrisons and units in unison with the ceremony held at Parliament House.
Message of Chief of Army Staff was read after the flag hoisting. All official buildings of three services were tastefully illuminated with colorful lights to commemorate Independence Day.
