Provision of basic amenities to Chitralis top priority: Hoti

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that the development of people of Chitral and provision of basic life amenities to them is priority of the government. He said that efforts undertaken in this regard is not favour conferred on the people of Chitral rather it was the duty as the representatives of the people.
He said that Chitral was intentionally left backward in the past but we have extended sincere efforts for development of far-flung underdeveloped areas of the province with full people backing to the government. He said that the present government has inherited terrorism while devastating flood has increased problems of the government and the people adding by the Grace of Allah Almighty the government and the people have not lose tempo and development and prosperity of the province have not been overlooked besides these two challenges.
He expressed these views in a message issued in connection with thanksgiving gathering at Chitral. Leaders of all political parties and representatives of civil society participated in large number in this unique gathering. Rich tributes have been paid to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti for approval of certain development schemes for Chitral, and Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan for announcement of Circuit Bench of PHC in Chitral.
Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that he has realised promises made with the people of Chitral and expressed the hope that timely completion of these projects will be ensured. He said that Khan Abdul Wali Khan By-pass road, water supply schemes in Chitral and Darosh, provision of buses to educational institutes, vehicles repairing of educational institutes and construction of additional rooms, repair of roads in inner city, beautification of Shahi Mosque and installation of dialysis machine in District Headquarter Hospital will collectively cost more than Rs 1.38 billion. Walls of Commerce College Auditorium were covered with appreciation and gratitude banners presenting eye catching view while the hall were full and people outside the hall were also listening the speeches.
The speakers on the occasion termed Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti as well wisher of Chitral on number of counts and provision of Rs 740 million for Khan Abdul Wali Khan By-pass road, Rs 450 million for water supply schemes for Chitral, and approval of funds for rehabilitation of flood affected roads and bridges, construction of Arundo Road, repair and beautification of historical Shahi Mosque a great favour conferred on the people of Chitral.
Terming announcement of Circuit Bench of PHC in Chitral a historical moment, the speakers also termed Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan a well wisher of Chitral and said that people of Chitral have not even imagined this what he realised.
The local notables also announced that a thanksgiving rally will be organised on 10th September that will start from Chiu Bridge and will conclude at Polo Ground. DCO Rahmatullah Wazir, President Chitral Bar Association, MPAs and local notables also addressed the gathering.
The speakers also lauded services of DCO Rahmatullah Wazir and said that he is diligently performing his duties as representative of the provincial government. Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Salim was the chief guest on the occasion while MPA from Chitral Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Salim Khan and MPA Ghulam Mohammad also paid rich tributes to the chief minister and thanked him for taking personal interests in solution to problems of the people of Chitral.
