Pak Suzuki Motor Company has posted Rs 278.889 million as profit after tax in the half year period ended June 30, 2011 almost same as compared with Rs 279.359 earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday declared that the company's earning per share remained flat at Rs 3.39 in the period under review as compared with the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's turnover increased to Rs 23.250 billion in the half-year period in 2011 against Rs 21.930 billion in the same period in 2010. The cost of sales increased to Rs 22.427 billion against Rs 21.226 billion.
The company's distribution cost increased to Rs 139.700 million against Rs 125.444 million while administrative expenses increased to Rs 352.864 million against Rs 316.032 million. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 545.996 million in the half-year period in 2011 against Rs 514.290 million in the same period in 2010.
