In connection with the public-private partnership to decrease unemployment through entrepreneurship, a training workshop was held here on Thursday to equip professionals, fresh graduates as well as students with skills and knowledge for establishment of their own private limited companies.
The event was jointly arranged by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology(SZABIST) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan(SECP). It was attended by over 50 participants aspiring to carve a niche for themselves in different fields of their respective interests.
Akram Qureshi, a senior official of SECP was the trainer who taught the participants ways and means to attain their objectives and make efforts that contribute to the overall national, especially economic development. Participants of the workshop shared their ideas and concepts in the development of marketing, telecommunication, banking, information technology and other sectors. The trainer enlightened them about the strategies required to be adopted in this regard.
This workshop is the follow-up of the recent establishment of Centre for Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CEL), by SZABIST, government of Pakistan and foreign donors to "Engage youth in Nation building through fostering entrepreneurship and leadership". CEL is also collaborating with Khushali Bank, which has more than hundred branches all over Pakistan, to provide loans to the aspiring entrepreneurs.
