The Sindh Government has issued notification to extend the contracts of 35 employees of Sindh Madersa-tul-Islam SMI College for two years. This was said by the SMI College Principal Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh on Friday while addressing the meeting of faculty and staff members of the college at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Auditorium.
Speaking on the occasion he said that after the devolution of education department to provinces under the 18th Amendment, it was very difficult to get extension for the employees but the Sindh Government did it in the larger interest of the nation and the institution. He further said that financial matters of the college have been shifted to Auditor General AG Sindh from Auditor General Pakistan Revenue AGPR, so hopefully the employees can get their due salaries of the last month.
