Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Achievement Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday (today). Top government officials, politicians, diplomats, bureaucrats and businessmen are expected to attend the ceremony. The Achievement Award is annual feature of the LCCI. In the year 2005, the LCCI took the initiative to recognise the services of the businessmen of the Lahore who are contributing to the national exchequer.
The LCCI Achievement Awards 2011 is the seventh function in a row. The criterion for selection is very transparent therefore the right businessmen can win the award. The criterion for the applicants is: investment during the outgoing financial year, turnover during the financial year, establishment of new units during financial year. Percentage increase in export/trade turnover during the last three years, tax paid by the company or group of companies (where the contestant has more than 51 percent share-holding), dividend declared to shareholders during the financial year and research and development during the year.
