After industrialists and traders now the public transporters of Karachi have also demanded of the government to hand over Karachi to Army so as to get rampant lawlessness, extortion and targeted killings in the metropolis controlled.
Anjuman-e-Ettehad Bus Malikan and Karachi Transport Action Committee leaders Muhammad Ashraf Banglori, Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain and other leaders expressed grave concern on the rule of terror and bloodshed in Karachi, saying police and rangers have proved inefficient to control the situation. They said hijacking of public transport vehicles and killings of drivers, transport workers and commuters have become a daily-based affair in Karachi. They said now people are afraid to commute in public transport buses.
They said innocent people are being killed in the gang war of political parties. They said calling army is the last option to save Karachi and Karachiites. They said the government should call army in Karachi without wasting more time and purge the city from criminals, killers and illegal weapons.
