Karachi, Quetta killings: adjournment motions submitted in Senate

Leader of Opposition in Senate, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidari has submitted two separate adjournment motions at Senate Secretariat, demanding a debate in the next session on the deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi and Quetta. He said the motions further demand that routine proceedings of the house should be stopped so that this important matter could be debated in the Upper House.
Expressing concerns over the law and order situation in the two cities, he said that innocent citizens are being murdered in two provincial capitals of the country. He said the situation in Karachi and Quetta seems beyond the control of the government and it is worsening day by day. Innocent poor people are being killed in the name of ethnic and sectarian violence, he added. He said that during the Holy month of Ramadan the people are being killed fearlessly and ruthlessly, adding that every person in the country was worried about Karachi and Quetta situation.
