No breakthrough in Shahbaz Taseer case

Police have failed to find any clue about kidnappers of Shahbaz Taseer, son of the late Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer, abducted on Friday from Gulberge area here. However, the police are investigating the case in all possible dimensions as Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the police to recover Shahbaz as early as possible.
Police have collected all evidence, including CCTV footage, fingerprints, a 222 gun, which was dropped from a vehicle used by the abductors at Fardous Chowk. Although a high alert was declared and both internal routes and highways were sealed, aimed for swift action for recovery of Shahbaz by both federal and provincial governments, but the abductors seem to have succeeded to take him to some unknown place.
The abductors, however, left behind the cell phone of Shahbaz, his laptop and some papers. Police is being assisted by FIA and other agencies to recover the abductee in earliest possible time. According to police sources, police would touch all aspects of the case, including the matter of Salman's second wife, who has filed a suit for dissolution of Salman's property. A few days earlier she had visited their house also and had threatened the family of dire consequences.
To another aspect, his sons abroad have also been calling the family, on phone, and demanding their share in the property. The police are investigating the abduction of Shahbaz in line with Salman's murder case also. The trial of murder case is near to conclude and Mumtaz Qadri and his supporters might take such steps to pressurise the family. The last aspect, abduction for ransom, is also in the mind of police. So, any aspect may not slip to investigate the case. Police have arrested three persons and have shifted them to some unknown place for interrogation. Lahore CCPO Ahmed Raza, however, has claimed to soon get Shahbaz recovered.
